If you're between 18 and 23+ and like to travel, Snorri West is the program for you! Summer in Canada means fun, sun, adventure and meeting new friends
Take in the sights of Manitoba’s capital city, Winnipeg, for a week of sightseeing, shopping, recreation activities and nightlife. Spend the next three weeks in the communities of Arborg, Gimli, and Riverton, Manitoba and surrounding areas. Meet your "Western Icelandic" relatives, develop life long friendships and discover Manitoba’s rich ethnic background.
Imagine walking on the beaches, swimming in the lakes, enjoying picnics, bonfires and a breathtaking sunset with new friends. Your host family will introduce you to people your age and treat you to local events. If you’re interested in a fun cultural exchange program, meeting Canadian people and trying out new activities this Manitoba adventure could be for you!
The Snorri West 2010 program runs for four weeks (July 9, 2010 to August 6, 2010 approximate dates) and includes:
- Round-trip fare from Iceland to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
- Accommodations and board while in New Iceland.
- Culture and History Programs.
- Volunteer Community Activities.
- Sightseeing and recreation activities.
- Experience the Islendingadagurinn of Manitoba.
- Learn the history of New Iceland with local historians.

Each placement with the Snorri West program costs $2,200.00 CDN
